Our farm is the heart of Honigtal-Farmland. The Greek host family has been running a farm with vegetable and fruit cultivation, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, geese, pigs and cattle around the accommodation in Honigtal-Farmland for years.
The produce from the Honigtal farm is prepared for guests in the tavern. Lettuce, tomatoes, zucchinis, peppers, potatoes and onions are just a small part of the summer harvest. Homemade feta cheese, eggs and meat from the farm's own slaughterhouse are also included.
The Greek host family also produces its own olive oil and presses its own wine, which is also served in the taverna in the Honigtal farmland.
During the joint tours of the farm, guests gain an insight into the traditional farming methods of Greek smallholders. And the weekly farm workshop is certainly a highlight for all children.
Two years ago, the Honigtal Farm was expanded to include a few horses, a pony and Hektor the donkey. The horses can also be taken on wonderful guided rides around the Honigtal farmland.
